The Dock Edge Roller from Dockhand Products, LLC is a roller that mounts behind the rim board of a dock or float making it easier and safer to get small boats in and out of the water. It's made of 304 stainless steel hardware and a UV-stabilized polyurethane roller to withstand saltwater conditions. The-9 inch rollers support a load of 200 pounds per segment, and are suited to a rowing shell or a kayak with a defined keel profile. The 18-inch setup works well for flat-bottomed kayaks and most canoes, while the 27-, 36- and 45-inch rollers are great for small sailboats and dinghies. Available as a kit or factory-mounted to a board. Comes with a three-year warranty. Most orders ship in one week or less. Patent pending.

"We have lots of small boats at our camp and it was frustrating to see kids and older adults struggle to get the boats on and off of the float. The dock edge roller is built into the edge of the dock so there is no tripping hazard, and it does not violate the vertical or horizontal profile of the edge of the dock." --Inventor Tom Milton, a long time summer resident of Mount Desert Island.
