Pleasant Bay Boat and Spar Company--builders of the 14-foot Classic Cat catboat and 18-foot Baybird gaff-rigged sloop. A fully equipped wood shop, boatbuilding shop, and storage yard provide a wide range of boatyard services on an intimate scale, providing customers with superb service and craftsmanship.
Over thirty years of experience have gone into the founding of Pleasant Bay Boat and Spar Company, continuing the long-standing tradition of boatbuilding and craftsmanship by providing expert design, construction, restoration, and repair. We uphold the proven techniques of the past, while welcoming the technology and materials of today. We are a successful and well-recognized business that is committed to the customer's vision and needs for pleasurable small boat ownership.
Our facility includes a 4,800 sq. ft. shop featuring a completely equipped wood shop, a 56-foot spar lathe, and 2,400 square feet dedicated to boatbuilding and restoration. The yard also offers storage and seasonal commissioning and decommissioning.
