Intended to evoke classic yacht eras past, W-Class Yachts are designed for competitive, coastal day racing—ideally suited to the sailing conditions during summer in New England or the Mediterranean, and winter in the Caribbean. With stylish lines, modern-day technology, and an entourage of glamorous admirers, W-Class owners and crew get maximum enjoyment out of every day on the water. Founded in 1998, W-Class Yacht Company actively promotes both 76s in the racing circuits and has a long list of accomplishments winning races. The W-Class lines were drawn by Joel White who specialized in reincarnating the long, low profiles and over hangs of traditional racing vessels. He favored the latest construction techniques and used cold-molded epoxy-saturated strips of wood over a form resulting in a hull lighter than fiberglass and twice as strong. The name of the class of yachts was created in memory of Joel who passed away suddenly just prior to the launching of the first W-76. The boats are available for day racing, day sails, fashion shoots and sunset sails. W-76 Specs 76’4” LOA 53’11” LWL 16’1” Beam 11’ Draft Sail Area 2,239 sq. ft. Displacement 55,000 lbs.
